Wise Man

My husband had a bone to pick with Planned Parenthood this morning. He said, "they keep crowing about that [Tim Tebow] commercial but it's so frustrating. They don't care how many beer commercials there are with half naked ladies as long as there are no pro-life messages."

I heard about the commercial- about how the NFL star's mom was scared when she found out she was pregnant, but because she decided to have the baby he is alive and well today.

Seems like a wholesome message to me.

They call themselves "pro-choice", yet won't appreciate when the woman chooses LIFE. Heard Greg Schleppenbach on KVSS this morning about this very subject. He lauded this article by (pro-choice!) Sally Jenkins in the Washington Post:

I didn't even think that commercial was very impactful (is that a word?). After all the hooplah of people against it, I was disappointed with the not-so-strong message. Oh well, as long as it could of saved even one baby and mom from the horror of abortion, then it was well worth it!!

Seeing the commercial last night from Focus on the Family... I was appalled that the pro-abortion movement was even concerned about the commercial. It was rather benign and hardly gave a "Pro-Life is the way to go" kind of message. It was funny to see TIm "tackle" his mom, but it was a very calm message and not in your face, you know? Did YOU see it? It is interesting the "go daddy" tear your shirt open commercials don't get knocked along with ALL of the beer commercials! (Although some of the best ones this year seemed to be the beer ones!! And not for scantily clad girls!)
